The Blind Man is owned and operated by Andrew Caron, a 30-year resident of the Nelson area.

Andrew has a sharp eye for interior design and has been working professionally with windows and blinds since 1991.

In that time his clients have come to know him for his expert advice, quality products and timely installation.

He has built lasting relationships with quality vendor and manufacturers, several of whom now use Andrew as the exclusive dealer of their products.

His focus on innovation and quality has led us to an expanded product line over the decades to include a variety of decorative shade treatments including screens, awnings, perolino and more.

In recent years Andrew has become adept in motorization and remote-controlled blinds.

The Blind Man is now in its second generation as Andrew’s son Fraser has become a fully-qualified installer.

Our Process

We are a fully mobile business: we bring the showroom to you.

Andrew enjoys meeting new people and is happy to provide you with a free, no obligation consultation in your home or office.

He will measure up the space(s) you want to provide shade or coverage for. He will suggest products most suited to your specific needs and he will show you actual fabric and product samples including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies.

Thus you’ll be able to envision the look in your home, before you buy.

Based on his best advice and your choices, we provide you with a written quote.

Once approved we will order the product(s) for you. In most cases the items will arrive direct from the factory within 4 to 6 weeks (custom awnings and screen orders may take up to 10 weeks).

Once your order arrives, we will call you to schedule a day for installation.
